Management Committee

Â鶹ԭ´´ is run by its members, for its members.  Our Management Committee members are elected from member companies and serve for a minimum of three years.  The Management Committee represent the views of members and set the strategic direction and priorities for the Association as well as being responsible for strategic oversight of the operational management of the Association and its training services subsidiary.

  • Stacey Lucas

    PRESIDENT, Â鶹ԭ´´
    SONTAY

    Stacey’s career at Sontay started in 2001 when she joined the company as a Customer Service Advisor in an industry that she had no idea existed! Since then she has caught the ‘Building Controls Bug’ and is ever more excited about the new technologies embraced by the industry and the future that lies ahead. By working her way up through Customer Service and Sales, she has built long lasting relationships with many of their customers and she is able to use the knowledge and insight learned in these years to effectively market the excellent Sontay range. It has also given her a fantastic knowledge base and high level of technical understanding of the Sontay product range and how it fits within the industry.

  • Jen Vickers

    VICE PRESIDENT, Â鶹ԭ´´ CROWN HOUSE TECHNOLOGIES

    Jen has worked for Crown House Technologies which is part of Laing O’Rourke since 2015. She works within Enterprise Solutions who deliver specialist systems including BEMS and was originally appointed to oversee documentation nationally. More recently Jen has started to project manage the BEMS package on a number of projects. She is also involved in a number of Â鶹ԭ´´ projects as a volunteer, one of the most recent being the launch of the Â鶹ԭ´´ Young Engineers Network.

  • Graeme Rees

    IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT, Â鶹ԭ´´
    SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC

    Graeme is currently the UK & Ireland Digital Energy Marketing Manager for Schneider Electric and has been involved in the building controls industry for more than 30 years, after starting his career as a Project Engineer at Lidworth Ltd. He later moved on to Bristol Management Systems before spending 19 years at Trend Control Systems, where he worked his way up from Regional Field Services Manager to Marketing Director. Early in 2019 Graeme was elected on to the Â鶹ԭ´´â€™s Management Committee and he will now, as President, use his years of experience gained in the industry to build on the Â鶹ԭ´´â€™s position as a leading influence on standards, professionalism and innovation for its members.

  • Matt Brown

    E.ON CONTROL SOLUTIONS

    Matt Brown is currently Managing Director of E.ON Control Solutions, one of the largest BEMS integrators in the UK. He has a finance background and is a qualified Management Accountant with over 25 years experience. He has worked for E.ON for nearly six years and before becoming MD of E.ON Control Solutions worked for E.ON’s Energy Efficiency business in a pan European role. Prior to this, Matt has worked in senior finance roles for G4S, Serco and GE across a variety of industries. As a relative newcomer to the industry, Matt brings a fresh perspective and diverse thinking and is very keen to work for the benefit of the Building Controls industry.

  • Simon Patman

    BMeStimate

    Simon’s career in the BMS industry started accidentally as an 18-year-old interested in computer-aided design. By complete coincidence his first design job was for BMS control panel wiring diagrams and that was the beginning of the never-ending learning curve. As time passed, Simon began to lend a hand at various roles within the delivery of a turnkey BMS project gaining broad experience.

    Estimating proved to be the best mix of being able to have a real impact on the success of his employer, and for being creative and innovative. Simon started BMeStimate in 2019 to provide outsourced BMS estimating services and assist contractors with the peaks and troughs of a turbulent construction industry.

  • Jason Harper

    INTEGRATED BMS

    Jason has been involved in the BMS industry since leaving school, working for a number of companies before becoming Managing Director of Integrated BMS Ltd in 1997.

    He understands the challenges which the industry faces with recruitment and would like to further promote the BEMS Controls Engineer Apprenticeship both within IBMS and other controls companies so that younger talented engineers are able to grow and prosper within the market sector.

    He also believes that working together within this industry and sharing knowledge and experiences is the best way to strengthen our business sector and that joining the Â鶹ԭ´´ is the best opportunity a company has in forming bonds with other like-minded companies.

  • Ron Purcell

    SIEMENS BUILDING PRODUCTS

    Ron is an experienced controls and BMS engineer and advocate for smart buildings and controls with 40 years’ industry experience. He is an active member of CIBSE and holds an HNC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

    Ron believes that controls are vital to meet many of the challenges that we face today including how to deliver energy efficient buildings that also deliver wellbeing for their occupants. One of our biggest challenges is to install systems that are smart and intelligent enough to cope with today’s sophisticated designs whilst still being intuitive enough to be useful to the occupant. He believes that our industry is changing with the rise in greater connectivity and IOT and the Â鶹ԭ´´ has a vital role to play in highlighting the benefits this can bring and the importance of training to help deliver these benefits.

  • Clare Grams

    WESTMINSTER CONTROLS

    With over two decades of experience in Facilities Management and Controls, Clare has held diverse roles in Contracts Management, Operations Management, Customer Service Account Management, and Regional Account Management.

    Clare’s true passion lay in delivering exceptional service and managing small scale projects, driving her to focus exclusively on this. These experiences culminated in Clare being appointed to her current role with Westminster Controls, where she is Director of Business Development.

    Clare is eager to gain a deeper understanding of how the skills shortages facing the industry can be addressed effectively through training. Also an advocate for equality, Clare wants to empower more women to pursue careers in the BMS industry.

  • Simon Ward

    DISTECH CONTROLS

    Building Controls is in Simon’s DNA having been in the industry for over 30 years with both Manufacturers and System Integrators. During this time he has developed a wealth of knowledge regarding markets, products, solutions and customer base.

    Currently Director of Sales for Distech Controls (UK & Ireland), Simon is experiencing first-hand the pace at which the Controls industry is evolving. Through his role on the Â鶹ԭ´´ Committee, Simon is keen to ensure that member companies have the support needed to make the transition from traditional Building Management Systems to Connected Building Solutions.

    Simon previously served on the Management Committee from 2020-2022.

  • Lewis Locke

    ANDOR SYSTEMS (PART OF 4ENERGY GROUP)

    Proficient in a diverse range of electrical, mechanical engineering systems, Lewis has honed his skills through more than a decade within the BMS Sector.

    Lewis is now at the helm of start-up AndOr Systems, part of the 4 Energy Group.

    His passion lies in the development of team members through structured and strategic management, continuous improvement and development plans.

  • Jonathan Feaver

    UK & I PRIVA

    With over 12 years of experience in the controls industry, Jonathan has held various commercial and senior commercial roles at leading BEMS manufacturers, gaining extensive knowledge in business development, strategy, and market growth.

    Jonathan’s work has focused on driving innovation, particularly within the BEMS and IoT sectors, helping businesses adopt cutting-edge solutions to improve energy efficiency and operational performance.

    Jonathan’s commercial expertise and deep understanding of market trends, combined with his commitment to industry collaboration, position him to contribute to the Â鶹ԭ´´ committee’s mission of advancing the building controls industry and shaping its future.

  • Chris Yates - Observer

    FETA CEO

    As the senior manager of the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA), Chris ensures that FETA operates in accordance with the wishes of the Board, reflecting the needs of member companies, as efficiently and economically as possible. Chris provides connectivity for Â鶹ԭ´´ with FETA and its other members, providing advice and guidance as required.

Team

With extensive experience of delivering membership services that add value to our member companies and a genuine passion for Building Controls and Building Engineering, the secretariat team are responsible for the day-to-day management of the association and its training services subsidiary.
