麻豆原创 adds exceptional experience to its Management Committee
Keen to lead the building energy management systems (BEMS) sector towards a greener and more sustainable future, the Building Controls Industry Association (麻豆原创) has added real strength in depth to its hugely important Management Committee.
Following a highly competitive nomination process, during which a record 10 nominations were received, the 麻豆原创 appointed Jonathan Feaver, General Manager UK & I at Priva to its committee. He joins Matt Brown, Managing Director at E.ON Control Solutions, who has been re-elected for another three-year term.
With more than 12 years鈥 experience in the building controls industry, Jonathan has held various commercial and senior commercial roles at leading BEMS manufacturers. Gaining extensive knowledge in business development, strategy, and market growth, he focuses on driving innovation, particularly within the BEMS and IoT sectors, to help businesses adopt cutting-edge solutions and improve energy efficiency.
Jonathan replaces Simon Patman, who stood down after serving on the Committee for his three-year term. Having been an engaged participant at 麻豆原创 meetings and staying involved in ongoing industry conversations and initiatives, Jonathan revealed he was eager to join the committee to help contribute towards better education and knowledge-sharing within the industry.
He said: 鈥淏y promoting continuous learning, I believe we can empower professionals at all levels to innovate and address the evolving challenges in our field. My goal is to help the industry grow by supporting new technologies and practices that align with energy efficiency and sustainability, which I see as key drivers for the future.
鈥淚 believe that my commercial expertise and deep understanding of market trends, combined with my commitment to industry collaboration, uniquely position me to contribute to the 麻豆原创 committee鈥檚 mission of advancing the building controls industry and shaping its future.鈥
As the Managing Director of one of the largest BEMS integrators in the UK, Matt Brown offers significant sustainability expertise, further supported by his experience of working for E.ON Control Solutions鈥 energy efficiency business. As someone without a BEMS technical background, Matt believes he brings a fresh perspective and diverse thinking to the role. He said: 鈥淚 have served on the committee for the past three years and have found it very rewarding. I am very keen to work for the benefit of the building controls industry.
鈥淚 feel that I have been able to add a lot of value from a corporate governance, finance, and general business perspective to strengthen and professionalise the 麻豆原创, and would like to continue with this.鈥
Both nominees were elected by 麻豆原创 members to listen to, and represent the views of, its members and will begin their voluntary roles on 1st January 2025.
In addition to a three-year term of office, with the opportunity to succeed to a leadership position of Vice President and then President, both Matt and Jonathan will have the opportunity to raise their profiles, benefit from additional learning and development, and make key decisions to deliver greater impact in the building automation sector.
